JOIN ME IN... Spin and Yoga!
WHY DO I TEACH:
I aim to create a space where every person can move and be present. I hope to elevate, guide, and challenge students. I strive to provide folks with the room to try something new, see things from a different perspective, and consider something they may not have before. It is really amazing to be a part of each student’s journey.
WHAT DO I DO WHEN I AM NOT TEACHING:
I am a lawyer, mediator, and adjudicator. I also serve as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Halifax Transition House Association (Bryony House).
WHAT’S ON MY PLAYLIST:
All the acoustic covers for yoga!
MORE ABOUT LEIGH
I started offering personal training and teaching group fitness in 1999, and I taught a variety of different classes around Halifax for many years. “Step” and “box” classes occupied most of my schedule!
After a bit of a break, I studied to become a Hatha Vinyasa Yoga teacher (RYT-200) and am continuing advanced study through a 500-hour program.
I have further yoga certifications in:
- Pregnancy and Post-Partum Yoga
- Trauma Informed Yoga
- Yoga of Communication (NVC)
- Restorative and Yin Yoga
- Advanced Assisting
I completed the Summit Beats indoor cycling training with Anna, and am having a great time being back in a room with a mic and loud music!
