THE FITNESS ROOM METHOD:
This course is designed for aspiring instructors, current instructors (gain 4 can-fit pro credits), as well as class participants and fitness enthusiast who are looking for a personal challenge and/or more fitness education. This 2 day training course allows individuals to create the ultimate group fitness experience in any room by learning/teaching our signature resistance training workout; "STRENGTH-Train To The Beat". This method allows instructors to coach proper exercise technique (very important) to be the beat of the music (Tempo Training), as well as motivational coaching to enhance the class experience. You will learn our signature class template to create the ULTIMATE fitness experience wherever you go. WHY??? What is train to the beat:STRENGTH- TRAIN TO THE BEAT
This is a 45 mins full body strength and conditioning workout with a killer playlist. Each musical track takes you through a specific body part. Legs, Back, Chest, Glutes, Biceps, Triceps, Shoulders and Abs! We use the tempo of the music to challenge the muscles in different ways and create a motivating and engaging fitness class experience. We use a variety of equipment, including dumbbells, weighted bars and bands. |
Meet your instructor- AnnaFounder of The Fitness Room Studio & TFR Instructor Trainings
Anna became certified as a Group Exercise instructor in 2001 while attending Carleton University. In 2006 she became a Certified Personal trainer with Can-fit pro and later became a Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS).
Anna was a Fitness manager with the largest fitness company in Canada for several years (until the birth of her first child in 2011), Since then she has taught and trained in various studios and now owns her own studio The Fitness Room and has developed The Fitness Room training methods. Certification History: Anna was a Les Mills International instructor for 12 years, her disciplines including: BODYPUMP™, BODYFLOW™ and RPM™(spin). Her passion for teaching grew stronger when she dove into the Boutique Fitness world, inspiring her to dive into the world of Barre and Pilates, becoming a STOTT PILATES® instructor. She is also certified in Jillian Michael's BODYSHRED™ and Yogafit. Anna knows becoming a Fitness Instructor is life changing. It truly is her life's work. “when the way you see things change, the things you see change.” |

What to know....
We will be exercising quite a bit (of course!), so please bring several changes of workout clothes and also warm clothes to wear in between. Make sure you have indoor sneakers.
Bring food, snacks and water. We will take breaks but they won't be very long, so best to have stuff on hand, especially because we will be moving a lot.
IMPORTANT:
Please bring a laptop computer or a smartphone and headphones/earbuds. You will need access to music, so you can practice the STRENGTH tracks you will be teaching throughout the weekend (yes you will teach!).

Sunday9am-230pm
